BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA)'s Regional Safety Advisors (RSAs) are available to assist contractors who have safety questions or concerns, are looking to develop safety programs and materials, or want to prepare for COR® (Certificate of Recognition).

With their extensive knowledge and experience in construction health and safety, RSAs provide practical assistance to all contractor types and sizes, particularly small- to medium-sized businesses for whom safety goals can be a challenge.

Tanya Steele, Regional Safety Advisor (RSA), Lower Mainland
BCCSA

Tanya Steele has been a Regional Safety Advisor (RSA) for the BCCSA for over 15 years. She is a business owner, professional trainer, certified virtual facilitator, CHSC, podcast co-host, and safety advisor for 30+ years. Over the years she has worked in several industries, including mining and construction. She has also been actively involved in many associations to help promote industry safety. Examples include the NCSO® Connect, NAOSH Chair, VRCA Education Committee, and Regional VP for the CSSE. She’s been interviewed for the Journal of Commerce, Canadian Occupational Safety Magazine, and published in the BC/Alberta Construction Magazine.

Her goal is to assist owners, supervisors, managers, JOHSC members, and HR leaders understand OHS legislation/COR® standards, help them implement safety in the workplace, and equip them with the skills to train their workers effectively. Ultimately, she aims to save lives and support business success.
