Whether you're looking to establish a bond facility for the first time, maintain your current facility, or expand your bond support to meet your company's growth, this discussion will provide insight into how surety companies evaluate and underwrite contractors, including red flags surety companies watch for during underwriting.

Stepping Up: Unlock the 6-Year Career Plan Nobody Gave You

Nearly one quarter of B.C.’s construction workforce is set to retire over the next decade — including many of the senior leaders who hold critical knowledge, skills, and relationships. The question isn’t if leadership transition will happen — it’s whether the next generation of industry leaders are ready to step into their roles capably and confidently.

Presented by MCABC’s NextGen Board, this in-person professional development and networking session is designed to help emerging leaders take control of their own growth – building the skills, strategies, and relationships needed to succeed in leadership roles.

Equally important, the event aims to bring current and future industry leaders together to explore how these skills, strategies, and relationships can – and must – be transferred from one generation to the next, ensuring the long-term success of individual businesses and the industry as a whole.

Led by Graham Snowfield, founder of Semper Leadership Certified Coaching, Stepping Up will provide attendees with a practical roadmap for leadership development and transition, including:

    • how emerging leaders can take ownership of their career trajectory by identifying and closing the gap between where they are and where they need to be
    • why relationships (both inside and outside the company) are critical career, business, and leadership infrastructure – not just ‘soft skills’
    • how intentional mentoring, knowledge and relationship transfer, and peer networking can help strengthen the leadership transition

Come for the Roadmap, Stay to Put it to Work

Stick around after the session to continue the conversation, connect with like-minded industry peers, and take advantage of the complimentary food and drink tickets for all attendees. We’ve booked the venue until closing time!

The MCABC NextGen Board of Directors AGM will take place immediately before this event, at 5:00 PM at Trainwreck Brewing.

    Graham Snowfield

Graham doesn't talk about doing hard things. He does them.

Swimming from Alcatraz. Five days underground in the world's largest cave. Running self-supported across Nepal. Twenty-two non-stop hours through a desert lightning storm. Not in pursuit of adventure for its own sake, but because he believes the lessons learned at the edge of your comfort zone can’t be learned anywhere else.

As the Founder of Semper Leadership Certified Coaching, Graham has spent 15 years bringing those lessons into boardrooms and team rooms, helping leaders cut through the noise, reconnect with what matters, and take the meaningful action they've been circling around.

A 9× Certified High-Performance Coach — the highest designation in the world — his clients have seen 26% compound growth in markets they'd never worked in, 21% lower turnover across 1,500-person teams, and a 38% lift in engagement among sales teams a decade and a half into their careers.

He's led marketing for the #1 fitness company in Western Canada, strategy for the #1 real estate marketing agency in North America, and has helped raise over $3 million for causes spanning cancer research, global education, and mental health.

Graham's message isn't about mindset hacks or morning routines. It's about the thing you already know you need to do — the decision, the conversation, the commitment — and what becomes available on the other side of it. If you're in a room with him, you already know you're capable of more. He's there to make sure you stop putting it off.
