The industry is modernizing – and rapidly. Are you building smarter?

Implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM) is becoming an increasingly critical step for mechanical contractors seeking to win projects, strengthen their business, and drive continuous improvement.

A 2025 KPMG and Canadian Construction Association survey found that 90% of Canadian construction leaders say the industry must adopt AI, BIM, and analytics to meet demand, with 81% reporting recent tech investments improved productivity.

As adoption grows nationally and provincially, with organizations like B.C. Housing embedding BIM processes into capital projects, it’s clear BIM is about far more than 3D models. It represents a structured, data-driven approach to delivering work and a new, more efficient way of running your business.

MCABC is proud to launch the first of a four-part, custom BIM training series developed specifically for mechanical contractors. This first course in the series establishes essential knowledge and understanding of BIM principles, processes, and applications within the mechanical contracting industry.

This course is a pre-requisite for all other courses offered in the series. Start building your in-house BIM expertise now!
