A coffee date has never been more important.
With B.C.’s Construction Prompt Payment Act (CPPA) moving closer to implementation, the window to influence how it works in practice is rapidly closing. The provincial consultation period ends July 7 and MCABC members have several opportunities to be heard.
To support this, MCABC is convening a special Coffee Talk on June 23—and this one should be circled on your calendar.
Following a first-look session at the MCABC Leadership Conference, Brittany Schina and Katie Armitage will return to walk members through what comes next and, importantly, to hear directly from you.
Representatives from the Ministries of the Attorney General and Infrastructure are actively engaging with industry, and member feedback will play a key role in shaping the regulatory framework.
This is more than an information session—it’s your chance to weigh in on the practical realities of prompt payment and ensure the regulations reflect the needs of mechanical contractors across B.C.
Why it matters:
Coffee Talks are never mandatory—but this one comes close.
Register now for June 23 and make your voice count.
