Overview
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is the most inclusive and innovative contracting model in the construction industry today, where all parties – including the trades – have a seat at the table and share equally in a project’s risks and rewards.
IPD presents an enormous opportunity for mechanicals in British Columbia, particularly in the Okanagan. The majority of these opportunities are in the public sector, with over three quarters of a billion dollars anticipated this year in IPD projects from Kamloops to Kelowna.
Lean thinking is the operating system of the IPD method, and high-performing teams are critical to the success of these projects. In this customized training, participants will gain insights and tips relevant to mechanical contractors applying for an IPD project and learn key language and methodologies to support contractors in the procurement process.
This two-day workshop will be pitched at the 101 level, providing participants with the capacity to apply for and participate in IPD and collaborative delivery projects.
Note: Lunch will be provided on both days.
