A growing number of crane incidents, including four earlier this year and one fatal incident, have prompted the industry to take action to improve crane safety. Even if you're a mechanical contractor who doesn't work directly with a crane operator or rigger, to minimize risks, it’s important to understand basic crane safety. At this MCABC #coffeetalk, join Jen Mutas, Field OHS Advisor from BC Crane Safety, to discuss crane safety and to learn more about how the team supports crane stakeholders, employers, and workers in BC. Also, learn how BC Crane Safety serves as an advisory body and works closely with WorkSafeBC as a Health and Safety Association, manages the certification scheme for operators, and participates in the development of safety standards.
