It’s time to have a real conversation about gender diversity in the mechanical contracting trades.

  • What will it take to attract a greater number of women to our industry?
  • Why should we be paying attention?
  • How do we take next steps?

Leading February’s Coffee Talk is Lisa Langevin, the Director of Equity and Engagement at the Industry Training Authority (ITA). Lisa is a Red Seal Electrician and holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Simon Fraser University. A passionate advocate for full inclusion in the trades for all under represented groups including women, indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ, Lisa is a founding member of the BC Tradeswomen Society and currently sits on the governance Board of the BC Centre for Women in the Trades.
