    The Next Gen Board is pleased to be hosting April’s Coffee Talk, which will provide members, those new and developing in the mechanical contracting industry, with an opportunity to delve into a conversation about contracts.

    Leading the Next Gen Month talk is construction lawyer Tyler Galbraith who will focus on:

    • Why project contracts are necessary
    • Why it’s important to understand contract language (with examples)
    • Who needs to know the contract content – from Estimators to Project Managers and Superintendent

    About the Facilitator - Tyler Galbraith

    A highly experienced lawyer, Tyler Galbraith represents most stakeholders in the construction industry, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners. As well as acting as project counsel for clients, he provides advice on all aspects of construction projects, including contract drafting, procurement, dispute resolution, bond and insurance claims and liens.

    Approaching matters with a problem-solving perspective, he seeks to obtain the best result, as efficiently and effectively as possible. Tyler has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, and his involvement spans appeals, trials, arbitrations and mediations. He has acted in numerous builders lien and tender cases, disputes arising from delays, defective work, contract termination, bond claims, and insurance coverage matters.

    Prior to joining JML, Tyler clerked for five justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia and then articled and worked as an associate at a national law firm where he gained general commercial litigation experience.

    We’re closing out NextGen Month with a home run event—Night at the Nat! Join MCABC’s NextGen Board at Nat Bailey Stadium for an exciting night of baseball, networking, and camaraderie as the Vancouver Canadians take on the Hillsboro Hops. Your ticket includes:
    • An all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet;
    • Elevated private VIP seating and networking area in the Nutrl Zone, an exclusive viewing area where you can skip the crowds and long lines. This seating area offers prime views of the game and Vancouver's summer skyline.

    Doors open at 6pm, game starts at 7:05pm. Each guest is also able to pre-purchase up to two drink tickets ($14/each) to cut down on line ups; to purchase these, please email info@mcabc.org.

    Note: Maximum two (2) drinks per guest. IDs will be checked at the Stadium.

    Your event tickets, wristbands and pre-purchased drink tickets will be at Nat Bailey's will call (MCABC registration table) - entrance at 3rd Base Gate.

    Cancellation Policy: All tickets are final sale and non-refundable. Tickets can be transferred to another person at your company. Please email info@mcabc.org to arrange this.
