Also, registration for our MCABC 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is now open. MCABC welcomes all members to join the hybrid AGM on June 20th at the Business Conference in Kelowna. Register today! 

Lastly, MCAC has opened applications for the Richard McKeagan Scholarship series to support students pursuing post-secondary education in Canada and who have a connection to the mechanical contracting industry.

2024 AGM is Now Open for Registration

MCABC invites all members to register now for the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, June 20th at the MCABC Business Conference & Trade Show. The AGM will be hybrid (in-person and virtual). For attendees joining virtually, a link to join the AGM will be circulated closer to the date. 

An AGM package, including the slate of nominees running for election for the 2024/2025 MCABC Board of Directors, will be circulated in advance of the meeting. Voting members who are unable to participate are encouraged to assign a proxy.

More details, including all other AGM documents, will be posted on a dedicated page on the Member Hub.

MCAC Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series — Applications now open

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) has opened applications for the Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series.

This series of scholarships aims to support students who have a connection to the mechanical contracting industry and are pursuing post-secondary education in Canada. MCAC has 17 scholarships available, including those for tools and equipment, women’s workwear, and assistance with education and trade-related expenses.

Basic Eligibility Requirements:

  • There must be a connection between the applicant’s studies and the mechanical contracting industry.
  • Applicants must be a Student Chapter Member or a child/ward of a salaried employee of an MCAC member company (the company must have been a member for at least one year).
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program leading to a degree, certificate, or diploma from an accredited Canadian university, college, or apprenticeship program, with a minimum “B” average for the previous year.
  • Applicants must not otherwise receive a major scholarship or bursary.

The deadline to submit applications is September 1, 2024.
