Gender Equality Week is September 17-23

Women in B.C. make 17% less than men, which means B.C. has one of the largest pay gaps in the country.

B.C. has taken a step forward with new pay transparency legislation passed into law on May 11, 2023, in an effort towards closing the gap.

New refundable tax credit to help offset cost of an additional unit for family

If you're building a secondary unit for a senior or a family member with a disability, the Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit (MHRTC) provides a refundable tax credit of up to $7,500.

Save time and avoid penalties by filing electronically for six or more returns

Starting January 1, 2024, businesses must file electronically for six or more information returns. For businesses filing paper returns in the 6-50 range, a $125 penalty will be applied.


Businesses filing less than six information returns can still file by paper.
