MCABC is kicking off March with Women in Construction Week, a time to celebrate and promote the role of women in the construction industry! On March 28th, we're thrilled to announce #coffeetalk will feature four inspiring women breaking down barriers in the mechanical contracting industry.

Looking to advance your skills as a supervisor and enhance customer relationships? Look no further - we've got two exciting courses in April featuring esteemed industry veteran, Kevin L. Dougherty. 

Lastly, the City of Vancouver is looking for volunteers to participate on a Technical Advisory Committee to help shape guidelines, regulations and support programs for existing commercial and multifamily buildings.

March 3-9th is Women in Construction Week, a time to highlight and celebrate the impactful contributions and achievements of women breaking down barriers in the construction industry. 

Get ready to celebrate diversity and inclusion and ignite a spark for future generations of women to join the construction industry. Women in Construction Week will feature events across Canada and is a powerful platform to highlight the next wave of women leading the change!

As MCABC members, we're coming together to celebrate International Women's Day (March 8th) and Women’s History Month! We're thrilled to announce #coffeetalk will feature four inspiring women breaking down barriers in the mechanical contracting industry.

Join our panelists Tania Johnston (CEO, MCAC), Judy Lynn (Chair, Women in Mechanical Contracting), Le Hien Huynh (BIM Manager, Division 15 Mechanical Ltd), and Jessica Bannister (HVAC Apprentice & Influencer) as they share their stories and the challenges they face as women and how they found success in building careers in the mechanical contracting industry.

The City of Vancouver is seeking qualified individuals to join this dynamic and collaborative group to help shape guidelines, regulations and support programs for existing commercial and multifamily buildings. 

This opportunity is for you if you have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Heat pump technology for space heating and domestic hot water in multifamily buildings and commercial buildings,
  • Heat pump rooftop units,
  • Mechanical contracting,
  • Heat pump manufacturers or distributors.

The deadline to apply is March 22nd, 2024 at noon PST.
