#coffeetalk - TSBC Advertising Guidelines

On March 23, we hosted a #coffeetalk to review and discuss the new advertising guidelines that require TSBC license numbers on advertising to the public. Some key take aways were:

  • If your company has multiple TSBC license numbers, only one needs to be included on advertising
  • It only needs to be on places where you're advertising services or products (for instance, unmarked vehicles do not need to have the license number displayed)
  • The goal of the initiative is to track down unlicensed contractors, not to punish those who are following the rules. TSBC will be looking to see that a reasonable effort has been made to make your license number visible to the public
  • It's recommended your website homepage and any landing pages for digital ads include the license number

For more details and specific requirements, visit the TSBC website at the link below.
