Ever wonder who or what is Lloyd’s of London? Curious to learn about the MCABC Insurance program that is being exclusively designed for members? What about the impact of international markets on your insurance premiums?

When it comes to insurance, this promises to be a powerhouse conversation!

Joining from London, UK, in partnership with MCABC Advocacy Pillar Partner Wilson M. Beck Insurance Services (WMB), is placement broker and partner at McGill & Partners, Matt Stevenson. Demystifying the fascinating world of insurance, Matt will share first-hand perspectives and insight into an ecosystem critical to the success of the global insurance network – and one WMB relies upon to deliver extraordinary customer solutions.

Also joining December’s talk will be WMB’s Nikki Keith, Principal, and Matthew Binkle, Managing Partner.  Nikki and Matthew will dive into the details of the Insurance Program being designed exclusively for MCABC members. They will highlight key coverages, real benefits, and answer the burning question: “Wait, that’s covered?”

Expect a lively discussion, a few laughs, and maybe even a moment where insurance feels... fun?

Matt Stevenson, Partner, McGill & Partners

Matt is a Partner in the Complex Property and Casualty team at McGill & Partners in London, UK, specializing in North American Casualty. He holds an ACII designation and a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. Since starting his career in 2010 as a North American Energy Claims Broker, he has gained extensive experience placing Canadian liability insurance within the construction industry — from SMEs to some of Canada's largest companies. Matt values McGill & Partners’ entrepreneurial spirit and, outside work, is an avid football enthusiast.


Nikki Keith, Principal, WMB

Nikki is a trusted advisor to clients across the construction industry. With 36 years of experience — 29 of them at WMB — she delivers dedicated, hands-on service and is known for her accessibility. Nikki holds positions on numerous construction association boards, including the VRCA, BC Roadbuilders, and BCSSGA, and serves on the National Advisory Council for the Canadian Construction Association. Recognized as one of Insurance Business Canada’s Elite Women in 2023 and 2025, she specializes in building tailored insurance programs for trade contractors, manufacturers, and equipment sales/rental companies to protect their operations and manage risk.


Mathew Binkle, Managing Partner, WMB

Mathew has over 20 years of surety experience, specializing in contract bonding and insurance solutions for commercial contractors. He and his team manage a diverse portfolio that includes general, civil, electrical, and mechanical contracting, as well as commercial and residential development. Mathew is an active member of the Surety Association of Canada and frequently shares his knowledge through seminars with municipalities, contractors, and industry associations. Outside of work, he is a devoted husband and father who enjoys fishing, camping, and the occasional tea party when invited by his two girls.
