              Notice of 2024 MIRA AGM

              Attention MIRA Members — The 2024 AGM will be held virtually on Thursday, December 12th, 2024. MIRA Members will have received an email on November 19th with further details.

              Technical Safety BC: BPVR Code Adoption Effective December 31

              A reminder that new editions of several boiler, pressure vessel, and refrigeration codes will be adopted under the Power Engineers, Boiler, Pressure Vessel, and Refrigeration Safety Regulation effective December 31, 2024. The new code editions incorporate enhanced safety measures that were developed based on operational experience, research, emerging technologies, and learnings from recent incidents.

              Licensed contractors and operating permit holders are responsible for ensuring that all regulated work is performed in compliance with the regulations and applicable adopted edition of the code(s).
