Free program at VIU designed to help newcomers get into the trades 

A program known as Trades Pathways for Newcomers at Vancouver Island University aims to prepare newcomers for work in Canada’s trades sector. The cohort-based program will cover career skills needed to navigate the Canadian workplace and help newcomers enter into trades careers.

Report finds that existing technology can reduce 50% of built environment emissions by 2030

A recent analysis by McKinsey & Company has found that the built environment sector has the potential to achieve emission reductions of over 50% by 2030 by utilizing available technologies. The report discusses options like pre-fab, establishing service-oriented companies, and industrializing the production of energy-efficient building technology for space cooling, heating, and water heating.
